Skating on a Sunday afternoon

Seems that at the moment, the weather Gods are saving all the good weather for the weekends!

At school I was never one of the cool skater kids, I always preferred my bicycle. And lets face it, a skateboard is not a viable form a transport where hills are involved.

These kids were really going for it today, and looking cool to boot!

Concentration and coordination!

I have never really been all that impressed by juggling I have to say. However, there is juggling and there is juggling with knives, and fire, while balancing on a piece of tubing on top of a table. Now that takes a little extra skill and practice!

Took this today at Southbank, Melbourne.

Never dull

A walk around Melbourne’s alleyways and side streets is always a little bit of an  adventure. There is always something happening and something to catch the eye. I stumbled upon this couple of newlyweds creating memories of their special day.

What Sundays are for

This Sunday I went to check out South Melbourne Market. I’d heard many good things, and I was not disappointed.

Outside the smells are intoxicating, with Fish grilling, steaming Paella simmering, Bread baking, Quesadillas on a hot plate and more- amazing!

Inside there is mouth watering fresh produce of every variety. You can buy a bicycle, have your hair cut, buy new clothes or a painting, or simple sit and enjoy a coffee at one of many places. There was even a DJ playing downtempo music to add to that Sunday vibe.

South Melbourne Market, in a word- fantastic.

Summer is coming...

So this will be my first post!

Down in Melbourne and when the weather is pleasant and calm- it really is a beautiful city. Took this unusual view of The Rialto.
